Tuning philosophy
In terms of sound performance, the Shangguan Wan'er SE offers a more neutral sound with less colouration compared to the original Shangguan Wan'er. The focus is on restoring the natural sound and authenticity of the instrument. The overall resolution and transparency have been significantly improved. The SE version has a thicker diaphragm, a lower overall height, larger holes in front of the diaphragm and adjustments to the sound nozzle. These improvements reduce the bass and increase the transparency of the treble, resulting in a more impressive listening experience.
