Shanling EC Zero T

Product information "Shanling EC Zero T"
Portable tube and R2R CD player

  • Ultra-portable anti-shake design
  • Advanced 24-bit R-2R DAC
  • Vacuum tubes
  • Dual-mode headphone output
  • Versatile connectivity
  • High-resolution display and optimized user interface
  • Portable CD playback

The EC Zero T offers true portability with a top-loading design in a package that's smaller and lighter than the ECmini.
The precision-engineered anti-shake frame and active magnetic clamp hold discs firmly in place and prevent skips, scratches and off-center wobble so you can enjoy flawless playback whether you're walking, commuting or camping.

Kunlun 24-bit R-2R DAC
At the heart of the EC Zero T is Shanling's proprietary Kunlun" ladder resistor converter, which replaces conventional delta-sigma chips with a network of precision resistors.
This all-analog conversion delivers full 24-bit decoding, minimizes quantization distortion and preserves native dynamic range, resulting in a smooth, lifelike sonic character that remains faithful to the original recording.

Dual JAN6418 tube amplifiers
The headphone stage is powered by two space-grade JAN6418 microtriodes - the same tubes Shanling uses in its flagship M8T.
Their characteristic even-order harmonic distortion gently enriches the mids and highs with a natural ‘tube warmth’, adding depth and musical richness without sacrificing clarity or precision.

Robust headphone output
The TPA6120 amplifier chip from Texas Instruments offers extremely low output impedance and high current capability, allowing both low and high impedance headphones to be driven effortlessly.
With up to 800 mW @ 32 Ω at the balanced 4.4 mm jack and 195 mW @ 32 Ω at the unbalanced 3.5 mm jack, you'll experience punchy, noise-free performance and lightning-fast transient response.

Advanced disc transport
The EC Zero T disc reading system combines active magnetic clamping, which eliminates the need for mechanical hubs, with a specially designed CD transport and servo mechanism that continuously optimizes laser scanning.
A palladium alloy motor, tested under heavy load, ensures constant torque and stability, while the multi-hour factory calibration guarantees industrial-level precision and reliability.

Versatile connectivity
Stream your CDs wirelessly via high-resolution Bluetooth transmission, or switch to USB DAC mode for direct digital playback via your computer.
The 3.5 mm (unbalanced) and 4.4 mm (balanced) outputs offer full compatibility with in-ear monitors, portable headphones or full-size studio monitors.

Optimized operation and desktop mode
With a simplified user interface that focuses solely on CD-only playback and USB DAC functionality, the EC Zero T offers a distraction-free listening experience.
Activate desktop mode to power the player directly via USB-C - no battery required - and turn it into a dedicated, powerful DAC for your desktop setup.

Powerful portability
Equipped with a 5,500 mAh Li-ion battery, the EC Zero T is designed for continuous use in any environment. Thanks to the USB-C charging station, the battery is quickly recharged so you always have your CD collection to hand, whether you're on the move or at home.

Retro-modern design
Inspired by the iconic portable CD players of the 1980s, the EC Zero T combines classic control knobs and brushed metal accents with a streamlined, compact body.
Its timeless aesthetics and robust construction make it an elegant and practical device for desktop hi-fi use and outdoor adventures.
