Product information "Lizer Lab Jijuma Brass"
Ear Tips Made in Japan
The Lizer Lab ear tips are the first in the world to be developed and marketed with a phase plug so that music can be heard without distortion from the forward direction.
The Jijuma Brass offer a reproduction that is reminiscent of concerts, live events or loudspeakers, as the shape of the ear tips and the phase plug create a different image in the ear compared to conventional ear tips.
The biggest problem with conventional in-ear and over-ear headphones is localisation in the head, and this problem has mostly been neglected up to now. In addition, the sound emitted by the ear tips is different from the sound that the ear originally hears directly, such as lack of bass due to poor seal with the ear canal, noise perception due to self-aural resonance (HRTF), and lack of sound transmission between the left and right sides, which are problems in transmission to the eardrum via the ear canal.
Lizer Lab has developed completely new ear tips that are designed to solve many of these problems from the ground up.
The main feature is the so-called phase plug, which is an attachment that is added to the cup-shaped ear tip.
To achieve a more frontal localisation, a small hole has also been created in the forward direction near the base of the cup so that there is no lack of bass and the sound collected by the ear cup can be heard from the same opening.
The auricle opening on the ear canal side has a very flexible outer shell that drastically improves insertion into the ear canal.
To achieve the above effects, it is essential to ensure a seal with the ear canal, which is achieved by selecting a suitable size.
By directing the sound through the phase plug, a natural sound is reproduced, comparable to the wide jet of a shower head.
Part of the sound in the main chamber is emitted from a hole in a certain position of the chamber towards the front near the tragus, and the sound is collected by the pinna and picked up through the hole near the tragus so that a sound is perceived from the front.
In addition, the sound reflected from the tragus is scattered close to the ear, optimising the characteristics and structure of the ear and providing a natural listening experience.
In order to transmit part of the sound directly into the ear canal, a small hole is provided at the tip of the phase plug, the metal plug-in body.
As a result, the sound is combined with reflection, delay and diffusion from the main chamber at the tip of the phase plug, this time difference is combined with the sense of direction and thus reproduces a natural sound.
The Lizer Lab Jijuma are compatible with many in-ear models, with the exception of some products with thin sound nozzles. Suitable for in-ear headphones with a sound nozzle diameter of Φ5.5 mm or more.
The third generation of the JIJUMA-BRASS phase plug is made of brass.
The phase plug has an enlarged tip opening and a further shortened overall length, which enables an equivalent or better listening experience than conventional products.
The JIJUMA-BRASS is an add-on model (new series) to the JIJUJET-3
There are three main points of change:
1. improvement of the high-frequency characteristics by significantly increasing the opening diameter of the tip of the phase plug.
2. improving the low frequency response by further reducing the number of holes in the shell.
3. the sound is directly amplified by enlarging the opening at the tip of the phase plug.
These earphones are designed to provide classical, jazz and pop music lovers with an optimal audio experience on the spot. Although it is on a completely different scale, its basic structure is similar to that of a concert hall, live performance venue and listening room.
