Fully balanced true 24-bit R2R resistor arrayDAC
FiiO's proprietary four-channel, fully balanced 24-bit R2R resistor array DAC consists of 48 precision thin-film resistors per channel, for a total of 192 resistors across four channels.
Each resistor has an accuracy of 0.1% and low temperature drift (30 ppm). This R2R DAC gives the K13 R2R a uniquely rich and musical sound.
The K13 R2R uses a fully differential architecture, which results in less noise and fewer FFT harmonics, resulting in a darker musical background.

NOS mode (Non-Oversampling): Maintains the original sampling rate for decoding, preserving the authentic sound and giving you an organic and immersive music experience.
OS mode (Oversampling): Upsampling to a high sampling rate of 384 kHz for superior audio performance and an even more refined, clearer sound.

Ten-band high-precision PEQ
Effortless sound optimization
Thanks to the XMOS XU316 platform, the K13 R2R features a specially designed PEQ* with support for 10 frequency band adjustments in all operating modes.
With FIIO's proprietary tuning algorithm, accessible via the app or web interface, you can easily use preset tunings such as “Retro PEQ” or even simulate and correct the frequency response curves of headphones. You can also export, import, share, and save EQ curves, making sound optimization a breeze.
*PEQ can be used to adjust audio signals with a sampling rate of up to PCM 192 kHz/24-bit.
**The web version of PEQ can be found at the following website: https://fiiocontrol.fiio.com/. The web version of PEQ is only supported for USB input. When using other modes, you can adjust the PEQ via the FIIO Control app.
Fully symmetrical audio amplifier circuit
The entire audio chain, including R2R DAC, LPF, volume control, and headphone amplifier, uses fully differential signal processing for excellent noise suppression, minimal distortion, and a high dynamic range. The amplifier circuit also features gain control, headphone protection mechanisms, and POP noise suppression for a robust and reliable listening experience.
Specially designed DC/AC power supplies
The built-in 30W switching power supply is protected by a nickel-coated shield cover, which significantly increases noise immunity and ensures a cleaner power supply. In addition, it has an external DC input*, so you can combine it with a more powerful linear power supply to achieve a different sound experience.
*Supported external DC power supply: 12 V, 2.5 A (or more than 2.5 A).
Multi-rail power supply, robust performance: With up to 18 low-noise LDOs and 5 DC/DC converters, this device features a multi-rail power supply that ensures a strong and clean power supply for exceptional audio output.
Audiophile ELNA RA3 electrolytic capacitors: High-quality ELNA RA3 series audio silk film capacitors and special tantalum electrolytic capacitors work together to provide a pure, stable power supply to the device and deliver a warm, natural sound.
