The ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M digital-to-analogue converter built into the Shanling UA2 is used in many mobile devices and stationary digital-to-analogue converters because of its good sound reproduction. Thanks to its help, the Shanling UA2 sounds significantly better than a modern smartphone.
