Basically, the AMP5 module is based on the "sister model" AMP3, but with some subtleties.

By making a few changes to the basic architecture of the module, iBasso has managed to square the circle, so to speak.

Not only does the module consume less power, it also has a higher maximum output voltage to excellently drive even critical headphones with a 3.5 mm jack connection.

In addition, the quietness and localisation sharpness in the sound image also benefits from the changed circuit design.

MAXIMUM VOLTAGE RANGE OF +8/-8 VOLTS

Due to the higher voltage range, the listener gets an increased dynamic range and can therefore use even more potential of his headphones.

In addition, the iBasso patented circuit design is designed to effectively reduce non-linear distortion (which makes for a "harsh" and unpleasant sound) while leaving harmonic distortion in the signal as much as possible.

In contrast to the iBasso AMP1, the AMP5 delivers an even greater resolution and calmness in the sound image, making even hours of listening to music a pleasure.
